A researcher has launched a pioneering study into the science of happiness. Using an online game, Tracy Alloway, director of the Centre for Memory and Learning in the Lifespan at the University of Stirling, will look for a connection between working memory and mental health. A recent study at Stirling found that 20-year-olds who had a "glass half empty" outlook but who had a good memory were less likely to suffer from depression than those whose memory was not so good. The latest research aims to test that finding across a broader population.
