University of Salford - The craft of wildlife shooting

March 27, 2008

A new wildlife documentary course at the University of Salford will be the first of its kind in Europe. Students will team up with zoological staff, and learn about the theory of documentary making, long-lens camera skills and conservation law. John Mundy, head of music, media and performance at Salford, said: "Given the UK's pre-eminence in wildlife film and television production, we were surprised that there was so little opportunity for students to train in this area."
