Horses have been turned "inside out" to help educate riders and owners about their anatomy and to reduce the chance of injuries. When seven students studying for a BSc in equine studies were asked to organise a public show about some of the things they had learned, they turned to equine specialist Gillian Higgins, who explains how the bodies of horses work by painting their skeletons and musculatures on their sides. The students at Sparsholt College in Hampshire publicised the event, prepared the horses for the day and sold tickets, raising money for the local air ambulance service. Sparsholt's BSc is validated by the University of Portsmouth.
