London School of Economics - Social integration

一月 28, 2010

All undergraduates at the London School of Economics are to hone their skills in the fundamentals of social science via a new course. Called LSE 100, the six modules - studied over two terms - will teach students how to find and weigh evidence, interpret and explain competing theories and present arguments persuasively. The university is investing more than £1.25 million in the first three years of LSE 100 as part of an additional £3.9 million annual investment in teaching and learning. The first group of 400 students began the course this month. Academics teaching it include the LSE's director, Howard Davies, and Lord Stern of Brentford.
