A US university and North America's largest ape research centre will form a partnership to create what they hope will be the world's pre-eminent centre for primate studies. Iowa State University and the Great Ape Trust of Iowa will also develop interdisciplinary postgraduate programmes in primatology at masters and doctorate levels.
