European conference on high growth SMEs - Madrid, 16-17 November

The European HiGroSME Conference "Supporting High-Growth Potential Firms: The Policy Challenge of Building Tomorrow's Winners" will take place in Madrid on 16th and 17th November 2006.

The Madrid conference is organised by the HiGroSME project and a consortium of European technology and innovation programme management agencies. The HiGroSME Project targets innovative European SMEs with high growth potential and aims to help them to achieve success on European and world markets. It seeks to contribute to European competitiveness, innovation, employment and economic change by strengthening one of the most promising economic actors - high-growth-potential SMEs.

The conference is intended as a forum at which to share with interested national and regional technology and innovation programme managers and policy makers the results so far from the HiGroSME project and to discuss together, with the help of acknowledged experts, the characteristics of high-growth firms, their assistance needs, and the most effective delivery mechanisms. Also case studies of new approaches from North America and Europe are included.
