Course helps fight the flab

Weight-loss whizz-kid Paul Gately has not let the critical media coverage of the junior fat camp he ran at Leeds Metropolitan University last summer deter him from fighting the flab in Britain.

He is launching a weight management course for health-care professionals and the general public this spring based on the same mix of vigorous exercise and healthy eating.

Children who attended the camp lost an average of 4.5lbs a week.

"I will be giving advice on how exercise can be built into daily life and how people can eat for a slimmer figure," said Gately.

The course costs Pounds 35 and will take place at LMU on March 10-11.
