Can my institution force me to retire at 65?

I am in my early sixties and have worked at the same university for over 30 years. My institution is increasingly becoming more corporate and using new techniques and a lot of older members of staff are being offered early retirement and redundancy packages. Can my institution force me to retire at 65?
