Call for proposals for information society demonstration projects

An @LIS (Alliance for the information society) call for proposals has been issued by EuropeAid for the implementation of demonstration projects in the field of the information society.

Proposals should aim at launching pilot regional cooperation projects in the field of the information society, involving all IT (information technology) operators and users and explaining to the citizens in Latin America the benefits of the information society in the following four areas: local governance, education and cultural diversity, public health and social inclusion (or e-inclusion).

The demonstration projects should be innovative and involve integrating existing modern technologies.

Each proposal should be presented by a European-Latin American consortium composed of at least eight partners coming from at least three EU Member States and one Latin American country. Applicants should be non-profit making European public or private entities established in an EU Member State. Any private or public legal entity established in an EU Member State or in one of the 18 Latin American countries can participate as a partner.
