Breaking the QAA code

The mission of the Quality Assurance Agency has always been clear: to promote public confidence in higher education. However, the agency has just realised that this means its reports need to be intelligible.

"The language of the reports and of the conclusions is seen by some to be a little opaque and coded," it stated in a paper on future strategy. "To the lay reader, it is unlikely that (they) convey anything at all."
