Artist designs homes for sub-Arctic nomads

Gavin Renwick, a Dundee University research associate in fine art, has won £54,000 from the Arts and Humanities Research Board to help design and build housing for the Dogrib Dene, a traditionally nomadic Indian people in the Western sub-Arctic.

Dr Renwick has spent almost two years living and working with the Dogrib, and he is one of several western scholars to have helped them in moves towards independence from Canada.
