Brussels, 21 Nov 2005

A workshop on advanced wastewater technologies for the removal of organic contaminants and the potential impact of the Water Framework Directive will take place in Wiesbaden, Germany, on 12 December.

The workshop will feature a presentation of the final results of the EU-funded FP5 project P-THREE 'polar persistent pollutants' (PPP), launched to improve the quality of raw waters required for drinking water preparation by reducing their load with P3 by a tri-directional strategy of treatment, pre-treatment and avoidance.

The workshop will also present and discuss the results of related projects such as POSEIDON and CADOX, and introduce the recently launched projects AMEDEUS and EUROMBRA.
