A worm called Whitfield

A species of tapeworm, new to science, has been named after Phil Whitfield, King's College London vice-principal for students and an internationally renowned parasitologist. The parasite, Oochoristica whitfieldii , lives in the gut of black iguanas in Mexico and was discovered by a former PhD student of Professor Whitfield's. Sergio Guillen-Hernandez is now head of marine biology at the University of Yucatan in Mexico.
