The Institute aims to link clinical and laboratory-based studies with social science, health systems research and population studies to make fundamental discoveries about these killer diseases as well as demonstrating how best to reduce sickness and death. It endeavours to bring together leading researchers from different fields, use cutting-edge science to improve people’s health and help train the next generation of African scientists.
