Robyn Cox and Julie Maclusky, lecturers at the University of Worcester, say in Delight, Entice, Inspire: Creative Writing for Primary School Children that the Primary National Strategies of the past 15 years have discouraged teachers from thinking creatively and hindered creativity in pupils. Dr Cox said: "Today's creative thinkers and writers are going to be tomorrow's entrepreneurs and those who will drive this country forward."
