The NERC CASE (Co-operative Awards in Sciences of the Environment) scheme aims to promote partnerships between HEIs and other bodies. CASE projects enhance the training received by students who will gain first-hand experience of work outside the purely academic environment. In this open competition CASE partners have the opportunity to formulate and submit a three-year PhD research studentship application.
