The University of Sussex is seeking to appoint leaders for 12 new academic schools, to be opened in 2009 as part of its restructuring. Michael Farthing, the vice-chancellor, said that candidates had "the chance to be part of an exciting future for the university as it develops new approaches to teaching, research and business engagement". The schools are: Business, Management and Economics; Education and Social Work; Engineering and Design; English; Film and Media; Global Studies; History and Philosophy; Informatics; Law, Politics and Sociology; Life Sciences; Mathematics and Physical Sciences; and Psychology.
