The UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (UKRC) is seeking nominations of outstanding women in the field whose success will inspire others. The UKRC launched its Women of Outstanding Achievement in Science, Engineering and Technology photographic exhibition in 2006, which profiles six women each year. Averil Macdonald, named an Outstanding Woman of Achievement in 2007 for her contribution to science communication, said: "Being part of the Women of Outstanding Achievement photographic exhibition helped to raise my profile and was the impetus for my being awarded the first professorship in science communication."
