Survey finds support for unified skills council

Universities and colleges support the creation of a single-sector skills council for raising standards in staff development and training in further and higher education, a study has found.

A survey commissioned by the Further Education National Training Organisation and the Higher Education Staff Development Agency, which plan to merge to create a single-sector skills council, found a high level of support for the move in both sectors.
