Scientists to discuss latest breast cancer research at Spanish conference

Brussels, 30 January 2002

The third European breast cancer conference, with more than 3,000 scientists, clinicians and patient representatives will take place in Barcelona, Spain on 19 to 23 March.

Presentations will review new developments in molecular biology, epidemiology, prevention diagnosis, treatment, psycho-social implications of breast cancer and quality of life issues.

Daily media briefings will focus on new research findings as well as controversial issues such as screening and the perceived threat to the future of breast cancer research.
