Leaders of lecturers' union Natfhe have called for an "away-day" meeting with Derby University managers in an effort to patch up relations damaged by fresh disputes over management style. Natfhe has put on hold a threatened vote of no confidence in Derby vice-chancellor Roger Waterhouse until the meeting has been held. Natfhe said it is treating as a separate issue the sacking of whistleblower Mark Challinor, whose case under the Public Interest Disclosure Act begins on Monday.
