Transport Geographies: Mobilities, Flows and Spaces

二月 28, 2008

A valuable edited collection covering an area of the subject that, while not the most fashionable historically, is of increasing interest to a multidisciplinary audience. The book offers a comprehensive, accessible and up-to-date guide to all areas of transport geography.

Who is it for? Primarily second and third-year undergraduates, but it is also of interest to postgraduates.

Presentation: The structure is issue-based and the approach of the authors predominantly qualitative. There is a wealth of student-friendly features and the collection is lavishly illustrated.

Would you recommend it? Yes. Transport geography should be on more undergraduate curriculums, and this is an excellent way into the topic.
