God, science and hot debate

一月 31, 2008

As Esther McIntosh and others suggest, theology can be taught in the sense of what people have to say about God without belief. But the question arises whether theology has a subject matter in the same sense as physics or history. It would be odd for an astronomer to say: "I don't think the Sun, Moon and stars exist, but I am going to tell you how they might behave if they did." The status of theology remains problematic.
