This four-year degree in Japanese, Intercultural and Contemporary Communication – which includes a year in Japan – gives you the skills you need to work in Japan or in an international professional context. The programme is designed to help you gain Japanese language skills, a deep understanding of Japanese culture, the ability to communicate interculturally, and insight into different sociocultural language practices. Our contemporary communication modules cover topics such as language, gender and sexuality, language in the media, and digital communication. This programme is ideal if you prefer two years of university study before studying abroad in Japan.
