Sports Management

The sport sector is very significant globally. In Wales alone, spending on sports related goods and services adds up to £707 million and accounts for 2.3% of total consumer expenditure. Career opportunities in sport enable you to develop a rewarding career out of your life passion, and our sports management degree enables you to gain the knowledge and skills to make that happen. Perhaps you wish to become a coach, manager or broadcaster. Whatever your ambition in the world of sport, you will need a good business head to set you apart. We ground our students with leadership and management knowledge within a sporting context. Areas covered include business communication, competitive intelligence, sport psychology, managing events, and strategy. As part of the course you will have opportunities to undertake placement opportunities through the university’s extensive professional network, including the Racecourse football and rugby stadium. We are passionate about excellence for all of our students and that is reflected in their grades. In the first semester of the 2015/16 academic year, more than 85% of North Wales Business School students achieved a 2:1 or above, which is higher than the national average and proves that our focus is not only on delivering cutting-edge and relevant degrees, but also supporting our students to gain the best possible results
