English and Creative Writing

If your love of English is directed equally towards writing as reading, you can divide your time between these two complementary subjects. As well as studying the extraordinary and diverse history of literature from Britain and around the world, you’ll learn how to write creatively for both adults and children in a variety of genres such as crime and thrillers, historical and children’s fiction. The English and Creative Writing team have a good staff/student ratio, enabling small group sizes and outstanding individual support. The team provide an environment that will encourage you to achieve your potential and fulfil your ambitions, whilst the recently established Goldstein library is an archive on campus that can provide a valuable resource for research.
