Criminology with Policing - University of Worcester

**This course allows you to develop an understanding of criminology from varying perspectives, in areas such as crime, criminality and also victims and vulnerability, while also gaining specific policing knowledge. The course is aligned to the College of Policing Core Curriculum, which puts you in a great position to pursue a career in the police force. It is also relevant to the private security sector.** At Worcester you’ll be taught by practitioners who work in their specialist fields. So you learn from real-world experience, and get a genuine taste of the work you could be doing after you graduate. - Designed for individuals who wish to join the police service, prison or private security organisations - You'll have the opportunity to develop specific police skills and/or knowledge and critical understanding of specific areas of criminality or leadership skills - Develops your understanding of the legal framework and criminal justice responses to crime - Year 3 is open to all professionals who are working, or have already worked in, the sector and wish to gain a degree qualification through the RPL (Recognised Prior Learning) system - Can be undertaken on a full or part-time basis
