Music Production and Performance provides you the opportunity to learn in industry standard facilities and be taught by industry practitioners. The programme embraces a practical approach to learning with a balance of in‐situ workshops and lectures, promoting (non‐exclusively) aural and kinaesthetic learning styles. You are encouraged to explore digital, physical, and online resources that are key components to the course, allowing more dedicated time working in the recording studio, practice room and/or music computer laboratories on projects and creative output. The programme builds on the University’s values, encouraging you to embrace individuality, and staff will support professional and creative development at all stages. **Careers** Graduates from Music Production and Performance are expected to favour jobs in either music and sound production, live performance, or as music industry professionals. These may also be as; originators of content sound as music composers or sound designers for film/games/television; music publishing; and performers. You will also have the technical ability that gives them strong grounding for working in studio based environments (i.e. producing, recording, mixing, mastering) and producing their own musical output to industry standard requirements. Above all else we will be producing graduates with strong employable skills that are adaptable to the diverse demands of the music and creative industries.
