Mobile Computing covers an expanding and exciting range of devices from phones to wearable technology, such as a watch or a pair of glasses. The individual processing power of these devices is increasing, providing opportunities to create new applications within a range of industries. This course has been designed with input from mobile industry professionals and focuses on software development. This provides you with the opportunity to showcase your achievements outside of the University. This course offers the unique opportunity to gain hands-on practical experience working with the latest mobile technologies, so you can be sure you’ll be learning the latest tools and skills required by the industry. The School of Computing and Engineering was voted best modern university for this discipline in the National Student Survey 2015, giving your Computer Science degree the competitive edge. Our membership of the Academic Developer Programme and Alliance of leading firms is further testament to our expertise in the field, and we are also in the process of seeking British Computer Society Accreditation. IT graduates generally have a good record of achieving employment and progressing in their professional work. Some graduates will go on to develop mobile apps or software.
