Event Management with Tourism

Events are hugely important attractions for tourism and play a key role in the marketing of destinations. This course looks at the important role of the event manager as a part of the wider tourism industry. We take advantage of our London location, giving you the opportunity to attend high-profile events and a variety of venues to gain exposure to the industry in action. As well as live event projects, you’ll learn through practical teaching such as case studies and team projects, to understand the fundamentals of event management. Studying a foundation degree gives you the fundamental knowledge of the hospitality sector needed to start your career. The modules will give you an introduction to events management in the tourism industry with the aim of developing you into a high-calibre, motivated graduate, equipped with the confidence and flexibility to thrive in your career. With a core understanding of the intricacies of event management and tourism and exposure to an array of events across London, you will gain transferable skills for a range of careers in international or UK events management. On successful completion you can progress on to the BA (Hons) Events Management with Tourism top-up course.
