The property industry needs professionals to develop, sell and manage the built environment. Our BSc (Hons) Real Estate is aimed at those working in the industry as well as students wanting to develop the knowledge and skills for a career as a general practice surveyor. This traditional estate management course covers topics including buying and selling, valuations, resolving landlord and tenant disputes, negotiating compensation and day-to-day management. Recognised for our innovative multi-disciplinary approach, students are encouraged to work in teams across professional areas. This reflects modern industry demands and provides a broader perspective. Thanks to our partnerships with key employers including Atkins, Wilmott-Dixon and Balfour Beatty, the course is influenced by industry. There are also opportunities to gain valuable experience through site visits, work placements and guest presentations from industry figures and alumni. On successful completion, you will meet the academic requirements for full membership to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation (IRRV), the European Council of Real Estate Professions (CEPI) and the European group of Valuers (TEGOVA).
