Each year this course offers three Italian components (one in Italian language and two other modules in Italian of a cultural and/or literary nature). You will study Italian language at the appropriate level: beginners, intermediate or advanced. Optional modules in Italian range from contemporary Italian culture and comparative literature to the study of aspects of Medieval and Renaissance thought and culture. In the intermediate and final year you can choose from a range of advanced modules in the department and, in the final year, you can choose to research a dissertation if you wish.
