You will develop your linguistic skills by taking a language module in Spanish and Japanese each year you are at Warwick. You can study Japanese at Warwick from beginners up to advanced level. Japanese provides an insight into other Asian languages and cultures, and a knowledge of Japanese can bring many business opportunities given that Japan has the third largest economy in the world. In addition to learning the Japanese language, you’ll also gain insight into a broad spectrum of everyday life in Japan. We accept both beginners and students with some knowledge of Spanish, and in your first year we teach you in classes appropriate to your linguistic level. Spanish is a world language with around 400 million speakers and is today one of the most important languages for commerce and cultural exchange. Warwick offers an innovative approach, combining the study of the Spanish language with the study of the diverse range of Hispanic cultures across Europe, the Caribbean, the Americas, and event aspects of Hispanic history in Africa and the Pacific.
