**Why Warwick?** We’re a world-leading university with the highest academic and research standards. Today more than 25,000 students thrive across four faculties, which feature over 70 research centres and institutes. We’re a constant presence in the rankings of the UK’s and the world’s greatest universities, and the most targeted institution nationally by the UK’s top 100 employers (The Graduate Market in 2017, High Fliers Research Ltd). All of this means you’ll be welcomed to a safe, energetic and cosmopolitan campus with flexible, well-equipped study spaces to help you stretch yourself personally, professionally and academically. Whether you want to be a front-runner in a fast-moving graduate job market, or to make a difference and change the world, we want you here. **The course** Hispanic Studies with German (25% German) will enable you to develop your knowledge and understanding of the language, literature, culture, society and politics of the Hispanic world at the same time as developing your linguistic skills in both Spanish and German. You will study a German language module in your first and intermediate years at Warwick, and in your final year you can choose either to continue studying language or take a German culture module if you have reached a satisfactory language standard in your intermediate year. You can spend your year abroad either in a Spanish-speaking country for the whole year, or you can split your time between a Spanish-speaking country and a German-speaking country. All our programmes are designed to enable you to study the Spanish language and Hispanic literatures and cultures to the highest level, while developing your communication, analytical and research skills. You will work closely with leading researchers whose specialisms range from contemporary Spain to Latin America, via Galicia, the Caribbean, the Atlantic and even the UK.
