Political Ecology with Humanitarianism and Law

The BA Political Ecology with Humanitarianism and Law is a unique and innovative Single Honours degree programme that examines pressing global environmental issues in relation to a broader political, social and economic framework. To complement the Political Ecology aspect of the degree, Humanitarianism and Law modules will give students the opportunity to consider the effects of environmental changes on communities around the world. Besides this, students will also gain an understanding of human rights law and ethics in relation to refugees, migrants, trafficking and terrorism. This interdisciplinary degree is extremely relevant and timely and encourages students to consider and seek resolutions to the problems that societies face in the twenty-first century. This degree is ideal for those who have an interest in law, ethics, and the environment, and are interested in making a difference to the world on a local and international level. Upon graduation, students will possess the appropriate knowledge and skill set to enter into environmental, political, or legal sectors, as well as many other careers.
