Film and Video Production Technology

This programme will open varied and rewarding graduate career prospects for you by taking advantage of our expert teaching, professional industry-standard facilities and the reputation we have built with our Tonmeister Sound Recording degree, the sister programme of Film and Video Production Technology. Our world-leading Tonmeister degree in Music and Sound recording has been running for 45 years. Its graduates have won a hundred major awards including Oscars, Grammys, Baftas, Emmys, and MPSE Golden Reel awards. They have also designed equipment and undertaken world-leading research. We are focused on high quality, and to this end we keep class sizes small to give you the best possible study experience. Our degree comprises three areas of study: 1)The fundamentals of science and engineering that underpin film and video technologies 2)Practical experience of professional standard film-making and broadcasting 3)Creative and analytical work related to film, television and other creative art forms We believe that all of these components are essential for graduates working in today’s rapidly changing film and TV industries, where developing technologies are closely linked with creative endeavour.
