Fashion Design and Promotion - University of Sunderland

**Explore every aspect of the Fashion Industry: develop concepts, create designs, construct garments, understand retail concepts, and plan and manage events. Establish your own brand; from creating your own branding and marketing, you will do all the graphic design and visual merchandising. We are proud to be the only course in the North East to give you this overview of the Fashion Industry.** Our industry experts will support you to uncover your specialism. You will build core skills in fashion design, illustration, graphic design, textiles, photography, branding and product development all with a focus on Fashion. Final projects show the breadth of the course and have included; fashion lines, fashion magazines, homeware lines, branding and marketing campaigns and season portfolios for major high street stores. Get a grounding that will launch your fashion career in an industry that is worth £26 billion and employs over 800,000 in the UK alone. Graduates have gone on to work for Abercrombie and Fitch, River Island, Debenhams, TopMan, All Saints and Matalan in roles within design, brand development, fashion publishing, production, PR and fashion retail. If you have previously studied an HNC, HND, Foundation Degree or started a degree elsewhere in a relevant subject you may gain direct entry to join this course at Stage 2 or 3.
