Coaches teach and develop athletes throughout all stages of their competitive career. All professional sports rapidly advancing the athletic capacity and technical skill of athletes continues to improve, and training and competition are supported by a number of sport science and medicine professions. Students will gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skill-set required to coach in elite sport. Subject themes develop the core disciplines of coaching, as well as the sport and exercise sciences. Our graduates have secured fantastic employment following their degree. Currently, our graduates work as coaches and performance analysts for Ipswich Town FC, as performance analysts for Arsenal FC, and as Head of Performance Analysis at the University of Missouri, in the United States of America. Although you focus on coaching during the course, your skills are transferrable, opening up a whole spectrum of opportunities across sport, exercise and health professions. Your exposure to elite coaching and world-leading sport science facilities will ensure you and your CV are ‘career ready’.
