History and Applied Sociology

The History component of this combination focuses chiefly on social and cultural history, often making use of sociological concepts such gender, social class and aspects of social theory. It therefore complements the study of Applied Sociology very well and at times the two subjects may deal with the same subject matter, for instance regarding the history of social theory where “social history” and the “history of society” may merge.
