This course is a progression route which aims to broaden counsellors' experience and knowledge by exploring practice within a variety of contexts, while working towards individual accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) where appropriate. This course includes introductory training in working with children and young adults. Within the programme's theoretical framework, students are encouraged to develop their own individual style and philosophy of counselling. This course deepens the understanding of counselling theory and practice, and explores more specialist areas of counselling. Counsellors gain more understanding of client issues and how to work with them.
