Business and Management (Events) - University of Suffolk

The overall aim of the BA (Hons) Business and Management programmes is to equip you with the knowledge, skills and experience that will enable you to be ‘professionally ready’ on graduation. The programme provides broad coverage of the key functions of business and event management and enables you to appreciate the importance of the social, political, ethical, technological, environmental and global contexts in which organisations operate. The programme also provides opportunities for you to develop creativity, communication, problem solving, time-management and decision making abilities through a range of skills and knowledge relevant to modern business and professional contexts. The course will enable you to evaluate the role of events at a local, national and international level whilst exploring the key contemporary issues and current trends relating to event management. You will develop an understanding of the different dimensions of the customer experience and will critically evaluate the current trends in the events sector. The range of media used within event management will be analysed together with environmental factors that have implications for event management. You will be supported by a range of work relevant case studies, speakers and visits.
