English and Music at Southampton offers you the opportunity to think about literature and music in unique and compelling ways. A degree in English and Music while having the opportunity to learn a new language and study abroad. Study is split between both English and Music subjects, with a third year spent studying abroad. Ideal for those with a creative disposition, modules on this four year course include: Poetic Language, Transformations in Twentieth-Century Music, Dangerous Readings, Song writing and The American Musical.
