Biomedical Sciences (4 years)

Study the mechanisms of life and the underlying causes of human disease with Southampton’s Master of Biomedical Sciences degree. Our biomedical science graduates are in demand in a variety of areas of employment in medicine and healthcare-related professions, or clinical or medical research. Southampton’s biomedical science researchers are making a significant impact on today’s society by investigating potential cures for Alzheimer’s, discovering the causes of cystic fibrosis and improving our understanding of cancer. Our four-year, flexible masters programme allows you to join this pioneering team who will share their expertise, allowing you to focus on aspects of physiology and/or biochemistry to research level. In -year-four, you will complete an extensive laboratory-based research project in the heart of our state-of-the-art Life Sciences building.
