Working With Children and Families

The BA (Hons) Working with Children and Families course provides students with the knowledge and skills required to work with children and families in a range of settings. Course content examines issues which influence the lives of children and families in today’s society. Multi-agency working and an understanding of the role of professionals from early years, education and social work will be explored. You will consider a range of services, systems, policies and work practices which support children and families. A key feature of the Working with Children and Families course will be regular work placements, which, along with your academic studies will allow you to integrate theory, policy and practice, preparing you for a range of exciting career opportunities. The need to develop a highly employable workforce which supports children’s services underpins the ethos of this course.
