Sports Journalism

Be a winner at journalism in the capital of sport, on the only Sports Journalism degree in Wales. You can be sure of live reporting experience at the highest level, and the chance to interview the top players in rugby, football and more, by studying at our campus in Cardiff – recently the European Capital of Sport. You will be just a few minutes walk from the home of the Welsh National Rugby, close to Glamorgan County Cricket Club, a quick train ride from Premier League football, and close to a thriving scene in ice hockey, other sports, and Sport Wales, centre of elite sport. Our contacts with the big names are second to none, thanks to USW’s long-standing sports partnerships involving Cardiff Blues, Pontypridd RFC and the Welsh Rugby Union, Cardiff City Football Club and the Football Association Wales Trust.
