The Sports Coaching and Performance degree provides the opportunity for students that have completed a Foundation Degree, preferably in Sports Coaching, to progress onto the final year of a BSc Sports Coaching and Performance degree. A distinct part of the sports coaching course is the opportunity to gain invaluable coaching experience. You’ll cover key theoretical issues that support the coaching process, including talent identification, athlete development and player development models. You’ll also explore how sport science principles relate strength and conditioning, fitness testing and physiology to coaching and performance. As part of this course, you may specialise in Football or Rugby Coaching or follow a broader Sports Coaching path of study.
