Secondary Science with Mathematics with QTS (2 years)

Have you always wanted to teach but don’t have a degree? Are you enthusiastic about science and mathematics and want to share your enthusiasm with others? This secondary teacher training course enables you to be fully qualified to teach in two years. This initial teacher education degree, which is unique in Wales, is an integrated university and secondary school-based programme, with a focus on development of subject knowledge and the practical skills required to become an effective and innovative teacher. With a national shortage of secondary school teachers in science and mathematics, graduates can expect good job prospects and rapid career progression. Schools need enthusiastic teachers who have a subject specialism but who can also teach in other disciplines and, by training in two subjects, employment prospects are excellent.
