Performance and Media

The University of South Wales’ Performance and Media degree offers a unique environment to explore, through practice, the way cutting-edge media and performance practices are transforming the creative arts. You will explore a diverse number of creative processes, ranging from live and recorded performance, film and video, radio, cyberperformance and e-theatre. You will gain the confidence and skills required to present and perform in public; to manage and control the means of production; to deliver complex projects on time; to work with others and to work independently and to express your ideas in a variety of forms. Studying Performance and Media in Cardiff means you’ll have world-class venues and production companies on your doorstep, including the headquarters of BBC Wales, a major centre for production in the UK (Dr Who, Torchwood), the recently developed Pinewood Studios Wales, National Theatre Wales and the Welsh National Opera amongst others.
