The foundation year gives you the necessary grounding in maths, science and engineering. Complete it to the required standard and you’re guaranteed a place on our degree course. Throughout the course you will work on projects – in groups and on your own – with an emphasis on modelling and design. All first-year students take part in the faculty’s Global Engineering Challenge, a team exercise designed to make you a better engineer, one focused on sustainable solutions. The MEng is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and meets all the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
