Our school of architecture, where you will also study, is ranked 3rd in the UK by the the Times Good University Guide 2017 and No 1 for research by the 2014 Research Assessment Framework (REF). It’s a demanding course and spending a year on placement extends it to five years, so have to be committed. But the benefits are worth it. As well as putting your knowledge to practical use and improving your job prospects you will be paid a salary. The course is accredited by professional bodies including the the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. It meets all the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. Graduates work all over the world for companies including Amey, Arup, Mott MacDonald, URS, Kier and VolkerFitzpatrick Ltd.
